The Song of Sencankarr

Above the shining Sea of Ambori,
Between white sands and cedars reaching tall,
A city stands, its walls of marble white,
And gleams as spires gold oe'rtop the wall.
Amid those walls there stands a lonely hall,
Its pillars carved of quartz and sapphire blue.
Around, the holy cypress crown the hill
And shade the marble steps of a crystal pool:
Its waters pure as ice, and icy cool,
And clear as oceans forever lost to men.
The care of ancient queens, that sacred pool,
Which sits atop the Hill of Orusen.
That holy hill where Sencan set his throne
Among the nations, peerless, stands alone.
