Three verses.
On the stones of Ranhor’s Isle
Fanhal battled ancient Orkon,
He who Lanenomen’s passage
Hindered in the ancient ages,
Ages ere the Sword of Sencan
Sencan forged to lead his people.
With that sword was Orkon wounded
Thrice, and fled the field of battle.
Praise the sword of mighty Fanhal!
Praise the singing bow of Laran!
Now the ancient foe is vanquished,
Fallen stars have fled before us!
Let us keep this day of triumph,
Keep it with the sound of feasting,
Let our hands be lifted upward,
Lifted in the praise of Heaven!
Now we pray you, blade of Fanhal,
Singing bow of steady Laran:
Ever keep your Eastward vigil,
Keep and guard our coast forever.
Never let the ships of Orkon—
Tall and black-sailed, manned by monsters—
Steal into the guarded harbor,
Of the fortress Ranhor founded.
