Four verses.
Far away the clouds of winter
To the gates of bitter iron
Where the Queen of Winter rules
Fair Onmanda’s singing drove them.
Spring was born, the winter ended.
Spring was born, the winter ended,
And the fogs that shrouded Vishnarr
Fled away, and left him naked.
Then the fallen Southern Polestar
Fled away with stolen spoils.
Vishnarr fled with stolen spoils
Bringing darkness Under Starlight
Till the Kings on Northern Marches
Challenged him, on sodden Denthfeld,
Brought an end to bitter slavery.
Still we wait for Fair Onmanda
And the Hunter Clad in Silver
To reclaim their ancient scepter
When their feud with mighty Vishnarr
Ends with song, when Spring awakens.
