Orusena, Lanenomen,

Swore an oath beside the waters—

Swore an oath to keep the waters

Clean, unsullied, when the Starfolk

Came from Westlands, warfare fleeing

With the hateful spawn of giants.

With the hateful spawn of giants

Lanenomen long in battle

Combat waged, until the waters

Of the Inland Sea that Raos

Promised him, at last he sighted.

Of the First and Holy Hilltop

Clean, unsullied. When the Giants

Came to claim those ancient waters

Lanenomen gave them battle.
