Verses for the prayers of Hasanyah the Queen, to be sung at the Midnight Song: VII. For the Afterfeast of Malfaloth

Four verses.

In the sky the Silver Hunter,
Malfaloth the Shining Ruler,
Wanes as now the year is speeding
On to summer; now the corner
Of the year is swiftly turning.
Time is flowing like a river.

Time is flowing like an arrow,
And the Hunter ever wanders,
Keeps his vigil in the Heavens,
Waiting for the day when Vishnarr,
Hated rival, he will search out—
Then beware, ye hosts of Orkon!

Let my heart now keep its vigil,
Keep its watch against the passions.
If I wander (I will wander!)
Let it be in search of warfare,
Striving with the ancient rebel
Who the holy Sea denied us!

Time is speeding like an arrow.
Moon is waning, soon approaching
Summer days, awash in daylight.
Night is ending, hope is rising,
High in Heaven Hunter wanders
In the sight of shining Eibram.
